Climbing for Europe: Bridget Marzo and Drawing (for) Europe

April 20, 2018 by Erzsi Deak

Unity in the Face of Dis-unity:
Drawing (for) Europe at the French Institute

Illustrators for a united Europe are on show at the French Institute in London. The opening night drew a big crowd even in the stifling (and weird) April heat. This pan-European initiative, now led by the Pulse of Europe movement, was launched in 2017 by German publisher Moritz Verlag during the Frankfurt Book Fair, in order to demonstrate the kind of community, solidarity and cooperation that make the EU today. Bridget Marzo’s CLIMBING FOR EUROPE, pictured, embraces the heartfelt need for unity and diversity amid a climate of door-shutting. The show is up until May 11. Hope you can make it if you are in London!
