About Lisa RogersLisa Rogers is an elementary school librarian and former newspaper reporter and editor. A recipient of the 2016 PEN - New England Susan P. Bloom Discovery Award, she is the author of MR. MARSHALL'S RED WHEELBARROW: A STORY ABOUT WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS'S BELOVED POEM (forthcoming, Random House/Schwartz and Wade Books). She holds a bachelor’s degree from The College of William and Mary and a master’s degree from Boston College, both in English Literature. She also holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Southern Connecticut State University. She specializes in picture book biographies and is working on a realistic fiction novel for young readers. A native of the New Jersey shore, she lives outside Boston with her family and hound dog and is a three-time runner of the Boston Marathon. She is a member of SCBWI, the online 12 x 12 writing challenge, and the Writers' Loft writing community in Sherborn, Mass.
